(Nashville, TN) January 10, 2012 - Rachel Chan's highly anticipated debut project, Go, hits stores today, released through in:ciite Media and its distribution partner EMI-CMG Christian Music Distribution. The 16-year-old daughter of New York Times Best-Selling Author, Pastor and Speaker Francis Chan, is already receiving praise for her freshman CD, which features songs co-wrote by Rachel and seasoned pop-music producer, Dave Lubben.
Here's what people are saying about Rachel and Go:
"Rachel Chan's Go is a wonderfully produced and beautifully recorded 10 song album that highlights a great singing voice and showcases a real gift for songwriting. Chan displays the skill of an artist who has done this before, except this is only her debut. Her sound is that of a young Avril Lavigne or Rachael Lampa, with a bold singing voice and some attitude in vocals. The album is sure to do well and most importantly reach the youth she intends to minister too." - The Christian Post
"Rachel reveals a maturity and heart for Christ that's hard to find in your average teenager… With personal passion ablaze and her artistry well beyond her years, there's no doubt that the Chan household has produced a champion for Christ. One that we'll all surely be hearing about for years to come…" - CCM Magazine
"Rachel Chan impressed us with her heart for God, her maturity, and her natural talent. We are excited to journey with her as she releases her first album. We can't wait to see what God has in store for her!" - HearItFirst.com
"Go is a confident freshman effort thanks to mature vocals, fine pop production, and songs likely to connect with her peer group." - Christianity Today
Rachel's current single "Prove It" is impacting CHR and AC radio with spins in several markets.
Rachel's 2012 tour plans include dates with the Rend Collective Experiment and her dad, performances at the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) Convention and Exposition, and the Lifeway Girls' Conference.
